Home (Rome) Tour

Here is a quick glance at the convent I am staying at. I am definitely in love with the views. And in case it wasn't clear, the weather here is constantly overcast and chilly. Definitely not what this Cali girl is used to.

Photo Scavenger Hunt

Yesterday we spent two hours running around Rome with a list of photo ops and a map. Needless to say, it was crazy. Add in the fact that it was freezing (by Cali standards), windy and I was sick. We got lost in an incredible city and came back with great memories. Here is just a few that I can share. Can you guess each location?

Oh and last night I booked a flight to Paris for this weekend. I'm still in a dream.

First Day Madness

Holy Moly I'm in Rome! After 20 Hours of traveling, lunch and 3 hours of orientation, I am able to sit at my desk and take a breather. I am also able to say that I have already started falling in love with the city. Despite their insane driving and a 30 degree drop in temperature, this city is beautiful. On our drive from the airport, we caught a glance of the Colosseum and some of the original city walls. I love that I am surrounded by so much history. Can't wait for more! Also, ignore any bad quality in these photos; we were driving to the convent.

Tetris: Suitcase edition

Hard to believe that a year ago I received the news that I would be studying abroad for 3 months in Rome. And now it's only 2 weeks away! Today I began the long process of packing. Who knew it would be so difficult to pack 3 months of my life into a 50 lb suitcase, a carry on suitcase, and a backpack?!? Here's a few pictures of my slow progress.
