Easter at the Vatican

Easter was our last full weekend in Rome and it was great being able to have service at the Vatican. More pictures from our dinner coming soon!

Loved having my sister in Rome

The program, which helped us practice our Italian!

Field Trips: Papal Audience and Protestant Cemetery

On one of our field trips, we had the opportunity to see a papal audience. It was cool being with so many people hearing the Pope speak about the Holy Spirit living in us. Afterwards, we visited the Protestant cemetery which is where anyone who was not Catholic was buried. We also saw the graves of John Keats and Percy Bysshe Shelley.

Field Trips: Santa Maria Maggiore and St. Peter's Basilica

A few weeks ago we visited Santa Maria Maggiore and St. Peter's Basilica. Both churches were incredibly beautiful and the pictures I have do not do them justice. I gave a report/presentation on 3 features of St. Peter's and it was definitely fascinating getting to dive deeper into the history of what is in this church rather than simply hearing it from my teacher. Enjoy!
