Venice Trip: Burano Part 2

Here is Part Two of our visit to Burano. Love love love the colors! Also, these colors aren't as bright on my blog as they are in person. But I am still so in love with all of the different houses.

Venice Trip: Burano Part 1

Burano is the second island we visited. It is well-known for it's handmade lace and Easter-egg colored houses. I am in love with bright colors and this was no exception. Every house had its own distinct colors which would make finding yours that much easier! We didn't buy any lace but did enjoy walking around looking at everything. There were so many pretty houses, I had to split this into two posts. I hope you enjoy it through my lens!

Venice Trip: Murano

Murano is one of the surrounding islands of Venice. It is well known for its glass making. We had so much fun browsing through each shop and looking at all the incredible glass. Definitely bought a number of gifts to bring back home.

Venice Trip: Venezia Part 2

Happy Easter everyone! We had a crazy, fun-filled day here in Rome and I can't wait to share it. But for now, more Venice! We got to see places that have been in movies. And we went on a gondola ride with Stefano as our driver.

Gondola repair shop (in The Italian Job)

San Barnaba Church (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade)

Awesome pink streetlamps

Sorry this one is a bit blurry! Gondola ride with Danielle and Stefano.

Venice Trip: Venezia Part 1

We recently visited Venice and spent 4 days wandering around the beautiful city and its surrounding islands. I immediately fell in love and cannot wait to visit again. The serenity of the city was incredible and this was partially due to there not being cars. I loved being able to walk around the entire island and just get lost in the back alleys and canals.

These were our first glimpses of Venice. Water was everywhere!

The Rialto Bridge with shops built on it.

Venice's Clock Tower. It's a 24-hour digital clock!

Part of the Basilica San Marco.

Doge's Palace on the left and Marciana Library on the left.

One of the many mosaics in the church.

Inside the courtyard of the Doge's Palace.

AS Roma Game

Last weekend we went to an AS Roma soccer game. It was so much fun! Their team is doing the best they have done in the last three years and their fans are insane. The entire game was full of chants and songs and screaming. Professional soccer games are definitely something a person must experience at least once. Especially if they have a huge fan base. Our team won and even if we didn't understand any of the chants, we had a blast.
