Our visit to Florence was so much fun. But it also had incredible skies the entire time. The weather was great and I literally could not stop taking pictures of the clouds. Here are a few of my favorites.

Florence: Stair Master
During our trip to Florence we climbed to the top of the Dome as well as the top of the Bell Tower. All of this totaled over 900 steps. To say we got our workout was definite. The views of the city were insane and I wish I could have stayed up there all day. Even if it was insanely windy on the Bell Tower.

Florence: Churches and Leather Market
A couple of weeks ago we went to Florence for the weekend as a class. It was a great time to get away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. We saw so much in just 3 days but I loved every second of it. Here are pictures of the church in Florence as well as the leather market we visited. Of course, I had to get a leather purse and I absolutely love it!

Field Trips: Capitoline Museum
This particular field trip took us to the Capitoline Museum. Filled with so much rich history over the hundreds of years the Roman Empire was in existence, the icing on the cake was the view of the Roman Forum from above.
One of the few equine statues still in existence because the Christians mistook Marcus Aurelius as Constantine and did not melt the statue down.
The skyline of Rome, which includes St. Peter's Basilica in the distance.
